A first conversation can help you explore what support might feel right for both of you.

Couples Therapy: Common Questions

Wondering about costs, scheduling, or which format fits your relationship? Start with these answers, and reach out if you would like to talk through your options.

How much does couples therapy cost in Draper, Utah?

Rates depend on session length and whether you choose ongoing therapy or an intensive. Contact Sandy Shores Counseling for current private-pay pricing and help finding an option that fits your needs.  60 minute session cost $150.

What is a couples therapy intensive, and how is it different from weekly sessions?

An intensive sets aside a longer block of focused time—typically 3–4 hours for a half day or 6–7 hours for a full day. Weekly sessions meet for 60–90 minutes and give you time to practice between appointments.

Is couples therapy worth it if we’re considering divorce?

Therapy can offer space to understand what brought you to this point and talk honestly about your options. You do not have to decide the future of your relationship before seeking support.  Discernment counseling can help you make difficult decisions.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Yes we have evening appointments available. Please contact us to ask about current evening openings and scheduling options.

Can we use insurance?

Typically Couples therapy and intensives are private-pay services. If applicable, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement; coverage is not guaranteed.  There are times when insurance might pay for individual therapy with a spouse present. Contact us for more information.
